Meet the judges

Our seven–time judge is back—and this year, she’s teaming up with creative couple and tastemakers Molly Baz and Willett, who are bringing their bold style and serious taste to help uncover the best of Etsy.

Dayna Isom Johnson

Dayna Isom Johnson has been with Etsy for over a decade! As our resident judge and Etsy Trend Expert, Dayna keeps her finger on the pulse of the hottest trends in our community and beyond, constantly seeking out original decor, accessories, gifts, and more from the sellers you need to know.

Molly Baz

Molly Baz is a two-time New York Times bestselling cookbook author, recipe developer, and content creator dedicated to making cooking fun and approachable. Known for her bold visual style and attention to detail, Molly brings a design-forward sensibility to everything she creates—from her cookbooks to product packaging. As the founder of The Club, where she drops new recipes weekly for her fans, she’s built a loyal following around her vibrant culinary personality. When she’s not creating in the kitchen, Molly is busy building her businesses, including natural wine brand, Drink This Wine, and her new mayo company, Ayoh.

Willett

Willett is a Los Angeles-based designer working at the intersection of furniture, architecture, and cultural storytelling. A former creative director and spatial designer for major global retail brands, Willett brings a multidisciplinary sensibility to his practice—one that values both aesthetic rigor and emotional resonance. He uses design to bring aesthetic joy into the world, exploring how furniture and built spaces can coexist as part of a unified experience. Rooted in a deep appreciation for adjacent creative sectors—like fashion, music, and popular culture—his work dismantles the elitism often associated with the design world. Instead he celebrates its universality and accessibility through tactile, architectural forms that speak to both the everyday and the extraordinary.

FAQ’s

What are the Etsy Design Awards?

The Etsy Design Awards (AKA The Etsies) is Etsy’s global awards program. Honoring the work of sellers from around the world and across multiple categories, The Etsies celebrate Etsy’s global community of creative entrepreneurs and shines a spotlight on their unique talents. From 150 finalists, one seller will be crowned the Grand Prize Etsy Design Award Winner and one seller the People’s Pick Award Winner, while 10 others will be named Etsy Design Award Winners in each featured category.

When does the application for the Etsy Design Awards open?

Sellers can submit their application to enter the Etsy Design Awards beginning on August 11, 2025.

Are sellers around the world able to apply?

To be eligible to submit an item for consideration, Etsy sellers  must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, or Vietnam. Which category should I enter?

There are 10 categories to choose from. Please see our category breakdown to help determine which category best fits your item. Not exactly sure where your listing fits? No worries! Submit wherever you feel is the best match—if selected, we’ll shift to a new category as needed.

If I’m selling vintage items, does that mean I can only apply for the vintage category?

We encourage you to enter whatever category feels most relevant to your item. For example, if you sell a vintage wedding dress, feel free to enter in the Weddings category, but you can also of course enter it in the Vintage category. If you have a vintage camera however, we’d recommend just entering in Vintage. Etsy reserves the right to re-categorize items.

Can I submit more than once?

You may submit once for each of your shops. You may only enter one product in one category for each shop. We recommend choosing the item that best represents your talents.

Can I edit my submission?

What criteria must I meet in order to apply?

To qualify for an eligible submission, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Your shop has at least four listings.
  • Your submitted item has a minimum of three photos.
  • You’re the owner of the shop and are submitting yourself (please don’t enter on another shop’s behalf).
  • You’re only submitting one submission per shop.

  • To remain eligible after applying, your shop will need to be open (and not in vacation mode) for the entirety of this campaign, until December 31, 2025.
